When we think of extreme water level events, we usually think of high water levels and flooding. In North Carolina there are multiple drivers of water levels. By documenting how tides and storms affect water levels, we can model how might change under sea-level rise conditions. This is important for ecology as well asĀ development.

King tides are extremely high tide events that happen twice a year.
